SIAL Paris attracts walnut buyers


Alternating by year, SIAL and Anuga have become the key visibility events for the California dried fruit and nut industry. At SIAL 2014, there were over 28 US dried fruit and nut companies exhibiting.

TradeScope arranges to meet dried fruit and nut buyers at these exhibitions. In 2014, TradeScope met with a UK importer of dried fruit, nuts, spices and lentils at the show. TradeScope introduced them to a California walnut company, after which they purchased 2 containers of walnuts valued at roughly $75,000 per container, or $150,000 total.

SIAL and Anuga should not be underestimated as a vehicle to sell US dried fruit and nuts.
