Two of the largest packaged food shows in the UK overlapped this year: the Natural & Organic Products Europe and the Food & Drink Expo (including the Farm Shop & Deli Show). This was a mistake. Some exhibitors and visitors were forced to choose between the two when they would have attended both given no overlap.
TradeScope visited both trade shows. The Natural & Organic Products Europe didn't appear much larger than 2015 but it remains the best European show for natural and organic products in the UK. Pretty much all of the leading wholesalers exhibit at the show. Most of the leading organic retailers, such as Wholefoods, Planet Organic and Holland & Barrett, also attended.
The buzziest part of the Food & Drink Expo was the Farm Shop & Deli Show. Most of the biggest wholesalers / distributors of premium food exhibited at the show. The independent farm shop, deli and speciality shops is a large sector; the number of wholesalers servicing that sector confirms the size and margins.
