We visited Biofach on 13-14 February. We were again impressed the breadth and power of the show.
With 8 halls, it was the same size as last year. Halls 6, 7 and 9 were mainly German companies. These featured all sorts of organic food, including bakery, confectionery, gluten free products, beer, wine, and ingredients.
Hall 1 was again the big organic players, mainly from Europe. There was a mix of organic ingredients and packaged goods.
The US pavilion was in Hall 4 in a better and more central location than in 2014. There were 25 US companies exhibiting under the Organic Trade Association, including ingredients and packaged goods. Some good companies we've worked with in the past: Taylor Brothers (prunes) and Erker Trading (chia, millet). And some new exciting new companies. Most of the US companies will be exhibiting at Expo West in Los Angeles in early March.
